The
160,000 square foot Towers complex is made up of four residence halls, Towers
North, South, East, and West and a centralized student dining and meeting
center. Towers North and West contain carpeted suite-style rooms.
Each floor houses a maximum of 26 students in three- and four-person
suites. Each room contains walk
in closets, room temperature controls, cable television access, personal phone
lines, and bathrooms shared by suit mates. Segregation of men and women is by
suite in these towers, thus men and women will never share the same room,
suite, or bathroom. Students on each floor have access to a television and
study lounge, kitchenette, and a laundry room.
Towers
South and East are traditional community style residence halls with single
gender floors. Each floor houses
a maximum of 36 students sharing private restroom and shower facilities with
their floor mates, with each room shared by two individuals.
Each room is furnished and equipped with a sink, two telephone lines,
and cable television. Each floor has a lounge with a television and microwave,
and laundry facilities are located on the hall’s first floor.
Many benefits to students exist for those who live in these
“traditional residence halls,” including more interaction with their floor
mates and lower housing costs.
East
Hall is home to Southeast’s first year student residence hall, an
outstanding program that provides social events academic programming faculty
access and other activities designed to help make first year students feel at
home. South Hall houses students
of all class years.
