The
Parker Athletic and Physical Education Complex opened in 1960.
The complex is named after Southeast’s ninth president, Dr. Walter
Parker. Composed of a full
gymnasium, dance studio, gymnastics practice studio, and
many meeting and classrooms, Parker is home to various University departments
and programs, including Physical Education, Health and Leisure, Sports Medicine,
Sociology, Anthropology, Dance, and the nationally ranked Women’s Gymnastics
Program. There are also many
classes offered where southeast students may developed a variety of skills in
areas such as self-defense, martial arts, and water sports.
