Seabaugh
Polytechnic Building was completed in 2001 and currently houses the School of
Polytechnic Studies. This 60,000 square foot building includes five general
classrooms with seventeen specialized teaching and research laboratories.
Each classroom is equipped with multimedia and instructional technology
as well as Internet access. Three
fully networked computer labs are also included, as is a 70-seat auditorium with
teleconferencing and interactive television systems.
The
Department of Industrial Engineering Technology located within the Seabaugh
Building is recognized as a Missouri Center of Excellence in Advanced
Manufacturing Technology and has programs accredited by the National
Association of Industrial Technology. Majors
such as, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Management,
Electronics, and Computer Technology, Technical Graphics, Computer Technology,
and Industrial Education are included in the department.
The
Department of Agriculture utilizes classrooms and offices in the Seabaugh
Building, but is housed in Magill Hall. The
Agriculture Department utilizes the university demonstrations farm and
Horticulture Greenhouse. Programs
in this department Agril Business, Animal Science, Horticulture, Plant and
Soil Science, Agri Science, Pre-Veterinarian Medicine, and Prevocational
Agriculture Education.
