Delta Epsilon at Southeast Missouri State University

There is never a dull moment when you're an Alpha Chi! Below are some of the many activities we participate in as a chapter through the semester.

Social Events

Golden Lyre Ball

Our Fall formal is held at an off campus location. Each sister is allowed to invite one date and enjoy a fun night with her sisters. Special "funny" awards are handed out as well as our "Man of the Year" is announced!

Spring Formal

Spring formal is the final event on our social calendar. Again, held at an off campus location, each sister is allowed to invite one date. Outstanding sisters are recognized for their dedication.

New I Dance

This is a celebration of our New Initiates! The theme is decided by the new member class for a night of fun after initiation.

Spring Socials

Each Spring semester, we host two socials. Orange Crush is usually around Valentine's Day. We have also held a Shamrock Social, honoring St. Patrick's Day.

Activities

Homecoming

Homecoming is usually held on a weekend sometime in  October.  Each sorority is paired up with a fraternity and together they build a float for the homecoming parade and also compete in window painting.  There are a variety of other activities that help sororities gather more points, such as the Jail and Bail and Field Day.

This year we are paired with the men of Lambda Chi Alpha, whom we worked together to place 3rd on the float.

Greek Week

This week long event is held annually in the spring.  It includes various activities, starting with Greek Games one weekend and ending with all Greek chapter in the next weekend. A variety of service projects are also done throughout the week like car washes, park clean up, and a canned food drive. The week is highlighted with the Greek sing.

Intramurals

Alpha Chi Omega participates in almost every intramural, including flag football, volleyball, and soccer. We also participate on Co -Rec teams as well!

Decorating with Daughters

Before Thanksgiving Break, we invite our families down to help decorate our house for the holidays. We put up a Christmas tree and other decorations as we listen to Christmas music and enjoy some snacks!

Apple Pie with an Alpha Chi

This event honors professors or any faculty members that are special or influential to an Alpha Chi.  They are invited to come have some apple pie with all of us!

Family Weekend

Each Fall, during SEMO's Family Weekend, Alpha Chi Omega hosts it's own activities, including a parent's auction, attending the football game, and dining out together.
