10:30AM Preliminary testing begins
Run 1/2 mile - we record your time
Pushups - we record how many in 1 minute
Full Crunches - we record how many in 1 minute
Toe touch - we rate on scale from 1 to 10
Bench press - we record # of times...Men body wt /
Women 1/2 body wt.
Learning ability - we quickly teach sideline chant -
rate 1 to 10
Heel
stretch on ground - we rate on scale from 1 to 10

make sure you are committed to being a student here by
applying for admittance. |
| Making the cheerleading squad
does not automatically ensure admittance into our
university. |

Based on seniority. Range from $300 to $1000. |

TIPS FOR TRYOUTS:
-GPA of 2.0 or better
-Great attitude
-Enthusiasm
-Collegiate spirit
-Athletic physique
-Great overall health
-Focus on perfecting the basics
-Full downs are required for maximum points
-Tight and sharp motions are required
-Standing backhandsprings, round-off backhandsprings encouraged
-Placement on team is based on points, attitude, and coach's
discretion
GENERAL WEIGHT GUIDELINES FOR FLYERS:
-This scale can be used as a
general guideline to help assess athletic body weight
for flyers:
5'0" girl, 100 pounds. For
every inch in height - 5 more additional pounds
5'1" girl, 105 pounds.
5'2" girl, 110 pounds.
5'3" girl, 115 pounds.
5'4" girl, 120 pounds.
5'5" girl, 125 pounds.
5'6" girl, 130 pounds etc. etc. etc. |

AS A TEAM MEMBER:
GPA must be
maintained at a 2.0 or better
Must remain a full time student with at least 12 credit
hours per semester
Team workouts 2 times per week
Team practices 2 times per week
Community appearances throughout year
Appearances at booster club and athletic events
Co-Ed Squad: cheers all home football games,
home basketball games, and tournament appearances.
All girls Squad: cheers home football games,
all home women's basketball games, and some volleyball
matches.
Other events as scheduled
Attendance at summer practices and camp are mandatory
