Services

The following gives an overview of what services we offer. 

Child Care

The Child Enrichment Center located off campus at 1912 Broadway offers day care at reasonable rates for children of Southeast students. Full-time, part-time and flex-time options available. Contact 290-5135 for more information.

Preferred Parking

There are several "Commuter Preferred" parking lots on campus. Special evening permits are available as well. Call the Department of Public Safety at 651-2215 for more information.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses stop at each pick-up site about every six minutes. This service is free of charge, and no special permit or ID is needed - just hop on board!

Meal Plans

Students may dine at many campus locations including the University Center, Towers, Kent Library, the River Campus, or in Scully. Visit the Chartwell's office in the University Center to initiate a declining balance account using Redbucks (and earn up to a 15% bonus value!) Call 651-2569 for more information.

Banking Services

There is an ATM located outside the Southeast Bookstore in the University Center. Also, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., banking services are available inside the Southeast Bookstore.

Tutorial Services

Students should come to University Center room 302 OR visit the online tutor request site (linked below) to complete a tutor request form. If requesting a Learning Assistant for a class that is offered at one of the Regional Campuses, please indicate this when making the tutor request online or in person. Contacting students about their request is usually done within two (2) business days.

The tutorial request form will be used to connect a student with a trained Learning Assistant whose available time matches the student’s availability. Once a match has been made, students will be contacted via email with the contact information for the Learning Assistant.

Places to hang out

The Center for Student Involvement (UC 204) has space where students can work, gather together, hang out, and use the resources provided by the University Center. The CSI provides many opportunities for student leaders and is open to all students. The CSI also serves as office space for several student organizations including Student Government.  Follow the link for further information http://www.semo.edu/leadership/csi.htm.

Photocopying

Students can use photocopy machines are available in Kent Library on the main floor and in the reference area on the 3rd floor. There is one color copier on the 3rd floor. Copy machines accept University departmental copy cards as well as coins and bills. Large bills can be broken at the Periodicals Desk.  The Center for Student Involvement also offers copying services, they are located on the second floor of the University Center, room 204.

Computer Labs

The Southeast computer labs are open as early as 7:30 a.m.(Dempster) and Towers is open 24 hours a day Monday through Thursday. For a complete schedule of Computer Lab hours for all campus computer labs, please visit: http://www6.semo.edu/openlab/Hours/reghours.asp.

The labs also are open during extended semester breaks, although with shorter hours. Family Computer Room - Kent Library, Room 247:

Special arrangements are available for students with children. A Family Computer Room is offered for use and/or reservation. See any Open Computer Lab Assistant for details.

Please note: Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.

Comments: Please direct any questions or comments regarding the Open Computer Labs to the Open Computer Lab Supervisor.

Off-Campus Housing

Students who are not required to live on campus may need assistance in finding off-campus housing. A Landlord Directory, listing rental properties close to campus, is available in the Dean of Students Office. Call 986-6888 for more information.
