Welcome

Southeast Missouri State University is honored to partner with Midwest HIDTA, the late Governor Carnahan and the Missouri Department of Public Safety in the development and implementation of this project.  The university is committed to delivering professional service to our region, the state of Missouri, and other regions throughout the United States.

The manufacture, distribution and use of methamphetamine threaten the quality of life in many communities.  Law enforcement agencies have taken an aggressive posture  in combating the meth problem.  The education community can lend support by developing and delivering programs informing students, teachers and parents about the myriad of dangers associated with methamphetamine.

The Department of Criminal Justice, the Office of Continuing Education and the Regional Professional Development Center are well-respected throughout the region. These three organizations bring professional experience, moral commitment, and personal initiative to the fight against meth.  Their cooperation on MEDFELS exemplifies the university’s tradition of addressing societal issues through cooperative venture.  Please take the time to view all portions of the web site.  Feel free to contact the members of the MEDFELS team for further information or for assistance in bringing the MEDFELS program to your children, school or community.
