Hello. I am Dr. Shirley Stennis-Williams, Dean of the College of
Education at Southeast Missouri State University and I would like to
welcome you to our web site. This site was prepared for faculty, our continuing
accreditation visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education and our continued program approval visit from the Missouri
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
We are pleased that you are visiting our web site because it will give
you a chance to see our programs of study, the requirements and
curriculum, and our faculty vita. You will also see how faculty from the
College of Education and other colleges at Southeast Missouri State
University work together to train effective teachers, counselors and
school administrators for the State of Missouri and the Nation.
We are motivated here at Southeast to provide students with the best
education, training and experiences possible to help them develop the
skills and dispositions necessary to become excellent educators of
tomorrow.
We take great pride in the superb faculty that have worked so diligently
to foster ongoing partnerships with schools and communities, to enhance
