The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE) is the profession's mechanism to help
establish high quality teacher preparation. Through the process
of professional accreditation of schools, colleges and
departments of education, NCATE works to make a difference in
the quality of teaching and teacher preparation today, tomorrow,
and for the next century. From its beginnings Southeast Missouri
State University has maintained teacher education as a primary
goal and in 1992 was fully accredited by NCATE.

the College of Education at Southeast Missouri State
University.
Once the documents
are placed on this page, they become available to the entire
education community. This makes it easier for all involved to
disseminate and obtain information.
We have made every attempt to make this page as user friendly as
possible. There are times that certain links will spawn external
viewers. Hopefully this will not be too much of a distraction
from the continuity of this site.
We expect that
some will have comments and suggestions regarding the site. We
