About the Iota Psi Chapter

chapter picture

Over the past 50 years, the Iota Psi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia has changed quite a bit. We have new members, we have added our own traditions, and the world around us has changed. But, the object of our fraternity has not changed: to advance music in America. We look forward to the next 50 years and want nothing more than to continue to pursue this object. In the past, we along with our faculty advisor Dr. Robert Conger, have hosted the Clark Terry / Phi Mu Alpha Jazz Festival. This has been a wonderful success for us, and we look forward to hosting it for years to come. We keep the candle burning with our Men's Choral Festival, the Southeast High School Honor Band, Mills Music Missions, the American Music Recital and our first ever Original Music Competition.

And, also important to our object is the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit. Our chapter is for all intents and purposes, a family. It always has been, and we hope that it always will be.

Fraternally Yours,

Andrew Yaworski - President, Iota Psi Chapter
