Mission Statement

The area of Student Development is an academic unit that promotes the holistic education of students and provides leadership in making Southeast a truly student-centered institution.  The departments within the unit provide direct intervention with students as well as consultation with faculty and staff colleagues to promote the intellectual, ethical/moral, social, and career development of students.  Our primary goal is to help students acquire the skills necessary to act responsibly and succeed in their educational pursuits on campus, ultimately becoming productive members of the Southeast community and the larger, ever-changing global society.
